Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Owens Avenue and Eastern Avenue [LAS VEGAS, NV]

1 Killed in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident Near Central Valley

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 20, 2020) — A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after hit by vehicle at Owens Avenue and Eastern Avenue Friday afternoon.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision took place at about 3:20 p.m. near the central valley.
 
Emergency responders took the pedestrian to UMC Trauma. However, the victim did not survive and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The name of the pedestrian has not been released.
 
Road closures took effect in the area of Owens Avenue and Eastern avenue while the officers investigated. The LVMPD Fatal Detail was on the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the cause and the circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately clear. There was also no available information on whether the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The police are still investigating the case.
