Maria Navarro and Rafael Duarte Killed in DUI Crash on Harley Knox Boulevard [PERRIS, CA]

Two Perris Residents Dead in DUI Crash at Harley Knox Boulevard and Patterson Avenue

 
PERRIS, CA (July 13, 2020) – Authorities have identified the two people who died in a DUI crash Monday morning in Perris.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:44 a.m. at the intersection of Harley Knox Boulevard and Patterson Avenue.
 
Sheriff’s deputies said a Chevrolet Blazer and Ford F-150 collided in unclear circumstances. The impact killed the two occupants of the Ford pickup truck.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Maria Navarro, 69, and Rafael Navarro Duarte, 68. Both are Perris residents.
 
The driver of the Blazer fled but was found nearby. Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Sheriff’s Department said.
 
Further investigation of the crash is underway.
