Driver Dies in Late Evening Rollover Crash on Bellflower Street near Pansy Road

 
ADELANTO, CA (July 13, 2020) – A man died following a rollover crash late Monday evening in Adelanto, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 10:55 p.m. on Bellflower Street near Pansy Road.
 
According to the CHP, a 2008 Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on Bellflower Street when it collided with the dirt embankment for unknown reasons. It then rolled several times into the vacant field.
 
Responding firefighters located the pickup truck approximately 30 to 50 feet off the roadway. The driver was trapped in the mangled vehicle and required major extrication.
 
After firefighters freed the man, paramedics rushed him to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
The coroner’s office only identified the victim as a 47-year-old Coalinga resident. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
