Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 110 Freeway near Downtown LA

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 13, 2020) – A man died in a pedestrian crash Monday evening near downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on northbound 110 Freeway near Third Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was in the first lane of the freeway when a car struck him. The involved motorist stopped and called 911.
 
First responders attempted saving the pedestrian, but he died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending notification of his family members.
 
It is unknown if speed or intoxication was a factor in the crash.
