3 Injured in Pursuit Crash at Upriver Drive and Argonne Road [SPOKANE, WA]

Speeding Driver Arrested After Leading Troopers on Chase in Spokane

 
SPOKANE, WA (July 14, 2020) — A pursuit crash at Upriver Drive and Argonne Road in Spokane left at least three people injured on Saturday.
 
The Washington State Patrol reported that a trooper attempted to pull over an erratic driver for speeding. But for safety reasons, the trooper called off the pursuit.
 
The same trooper saw the speeding vehicle again a while later on East Upriver Drive and started to chase the suspect. The driver of the speeding vehicle came at the trooper, hit the patrol car, and then sped off.
 
The suspect subsequently crashed into two other cars at East Upriver Drive and Argonne Road and came to a full stop.
 
According to WSP, the suspect and two other people were transported to a hospital. The trooper did not report any injuries.
 
Officials said the suspect faces charges of vehicular assault and eluding law enforcement. As to why the driver was speeding remains under investigation.
