2 Injured in Fairfield Two-Car Accident on 80 Freeway

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (July 12, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-car accident on 80 Freeway, Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:35 PM. For reasons still under investigation, a Chrysler 200 collided with a Ford Econoline van near Lynch Road.
 
Emergency crews later transported the right-front Chrysler passenger to NorthBay Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. Medics also transported the Chrysler driver to NorthBay with minor injuries. As per reports, the Ford occupants did not sustain injuries.
 
Officers temporarily closed affected areas and the Fairfield Fire Department provided assistance with the cleanup.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release more details once they become available.
