Trevor Sauers Dies in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Silverdale

 
SILVERDALE, WA (July 13, 2020) – The Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies confirmed a fatality in a motorcycle crash in Silverdale Friday night.
 
The victim of the crash was identified as 29-year-old Trevor Sauers of Silverdale.
 
Based on a preliminary investigation, Sauers was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on Silverdale Way at a high rate of speed. Witnesses said he was going at about twice the speed limit of 30 miles per hour.
 
Sauers was reportedly lane splitting when he crashed into a car traveling in front of him near Northwest Byron Street. He subsequently landed on top of the car and then fell onto the road.
 
Sauers died at the scene despite life-saving efforts of off-duty medical technicians, a deputy, and paramedics.
 
There was no word, however, on the condition of the 61-year-old woman driving the car. The crash remains under investigation.
