Driver Dead, Passenger Injured after Car Crashed into Tree in Chatsworth

 
CHATSWORTH, CA (July 14, 2020) — A car crashed into a tree in Chatsworth leaving the driver dead and a passenger critically injured Monday, July 13.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The crash happened just after 8:00 a.m. on the 21600 block of Marilla Street.
 
The driver, a man in his 20 whose identity was not available, died at the scene.
 
Firefighters extricated the survivor from the wreckage. Medics transported the person to a hospital in critical condition, the LAFD reported.
 
There are no reports if alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident.
 
The investigation about the circumstances of the crash was under investigation.
