2 Bicyclists Hit and Killed by Car near 52nd Avenue and Thunderbird Road [Glendale, AZ]

Man and Girl Riding a Bicycle Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Glendale

 
GLENDALE, AZ (July 13, 2020) – Two people were killed in a bicycle accident near 52nd Avenue and Thunderbird Road Sunday night.
 
According to the Glendale police, a man was operating a bicycle with the girl riding on the handlebars. As they were crossing the street from north to south, a westbound car struck them at about 7:30 p.m.
 
Both the man and the girl died in the crash. The driver of the car, meanwhile, remained at the scene.
 
As of this time, there is no information available as to the names and the relationship of the victims. The name of the driver of the car was also not released.
 
The police shut down Thunderbird Road from 51st Avenue to 55th Avenue while they processed the scene. The roadway reopened after the preliminary investigation and cleanup.
