16-Year-Old Girl Killed in Car Crash on 44th Street [Phoenix, AZ]

1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 13, 2020) – A car crash on 44th Street in Phoenix claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl Friday night.
 
The police said the girl was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old boy. They were traveling northbound on 44th street when the driver reportedly failed to stop at a red light. The car subsequently collided with another vehicle, causing serious injuries to three people.
 
First responders took the boy and the girl to the hospital. Unfortunately, the girl did not survive. Meanwhile, there was no update about the condition of the boy.
 
The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized due to minor injuries.
 
According to the investigators, there were no indications that impairment played a role in the crash. However, they are conducting further probe on the case.
