2 Teenagers Injured, Driver Arrested in Spokane High-Speed DUI Crash

 
SPOKANE, WA (July 10, 2020) – A high-speed DUI crash in north Spokane led to the arrest of 21-year-old Joshua Stricklin on Friday evening.
 
The Spokane police said Stricklin was driving a car southbound on Division Street at a high rate of speed when he hit the center median. He then lost control of the vehicle and subsequently crashed into a building north of Division Street and Buckeye Avenue.
 
According to the officers, Stricklin had three passengers in the car at the time of the crash. One of them fled the scene. Two teenagers, meanwhile, were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of them may lose an eye, the police said.
 
Meantime, a drug recognition expert determined that Stricklin was driving under the influence when the crash happened. The police arrested him for vehicular assault. The investigation is ongoing.
