Early Morning Rollover Crash on Pierson Boulevard in Desert Hot Springs Kills One

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (July 10, 2020) – A driver was killed following a rollover crash early Friday morning in Desert Hot Springs.

The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Pierson Boulevard, just west of Karen Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle apparently veered off the roadway and overturned into a rocky roadside ravine, where it landed on its hood.

The driver and the sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

Authorities did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.

Crews closed Pierson Boulevard for several hours, from Worsley Road to Indian Canyon Drive, as they investigated the incident

It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
