3-Year-Old Bryceon Springfield Dead in Car Collision on Highway 58 [Boron, CA]

Bryceon Springfield Killed, Clarissa Kemp and Three Others Hurt in Traffic Crash

 
BORON, CA (July 13, 2020) — A 3-year-old Victorville toddler identified as Bryceon Anthony Springfield died in a traffic crash on Tuesday, July 7.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol, the collision took place on Highway 58, west of Boron Avenue around 1:00 p.m.
 
According to the CHP report, a 7-year-old juvenile and 2-year-old suffered major injuries. Another passenger identified as Clarissa Kemp sustained minor injuries. Medics rushed all three to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. The driver, a 32-year-old woman, had minor injuries and paramedics rushed her to the hospital.
 
CHP officers responded from Mojave to the incident after receiving the report. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the woman, Carolyn Ellis, drove her 1992 Toyota Previa westbound on Highway 58. Then her car slammed with a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck driven by 39-year-old Brian Allen moving westbound.
 
For unknown reasons, the Toyota and Freightliner were involved in a crash after the Freightliner stopped for traffic.
 
The 3-year-old died at the scene and other injured parties were rushed for treatment.
 
CHP said the crash under investigation and witnesses urge to contact CHP Officer Perkins at 661-823-5500.
