11 Hospitalized After Multi-Car Accident on Sunset Highway [EAST WENATCHEE, WA]

11 Injured in East Wenatchee Multi-Vehicle Collision

 
EAST WENATCHEE, WA (July 10, 2020) – Eleven people were hospitalized following a multi-car accident on Sunset Highway in East Wenatchee on Tuesday, June 30.
 
The Washington State Patrol reported that they received reports of the accident at about 3:38 p.m. at milepost 129, about two-and-a-half miles outside East Wenatchee City limits.
 
A big rig reportedly collided with several vehicles. There was also a separate head-on collision that occurred in the area.
 
The authorities said one of the 11 injured people was in critical condition, while two others were in serious condition.
 
As of this time, the cause and circumstances leading up to the crash were not clear. The names of those involved were also not immediately available.
 
The officials had Sunset Highway closed for an extended period while law enforcement, and fire and medical personnel worked on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
