1 Killed, 5 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Etiwanda Avenue and Ryder Road [JURUPA VALLEY, CA]

Fatal Jurupa Valley Crash at Etiwanda Avenue and Ryder Road

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (July 9, 2020) – One person was killed and five others were injured following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning at a Jurupa Valley intersection.
 
The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. at Etiwanda Avenue and Ryder Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused major injuries on a male adult driver in one of the vehicles.
 
Arriving emergency crews tried saving the man but he died at the scene. Four other occupants in his car, including two infants, were injured. Paramedics transported them to local hospitals for treatment.
 
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries. He was also hospitalized.
 
The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately available.
 
Sheriff’s deputies did not rule out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
