Driver Dies after Crashing with Big Rig on Twelve Bridges Drive in Lincoln
LINCOLN, CA (July 10, 2020) – One person was killed following a big rig crash Friday morning in Lincoln, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. at Twelve Bridges Drive and Highway 65, near Thunder Valley Casino.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, the big rig was turning onto the northbound Highway 65 on-ramp when the car collided with the trailer and went underneath it.
As a result, the driver of the sedan died at the scene. Authorities did not release the identity of the victim pending next of kin notification.
It is unknown if speed or intoxication played a role in the crash.
Crews closed the highway on-ramp and a portion of Twelve Bridges Drive while they investigated the crash.
