Driver Dies in Afternoon Crash on Tippecanoe Avenue south of Harry Sheppard Boulevard
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 8, 2020) – A man died in a car crash Wednesday afternoon in San Bernardino, according to police.
The crash happened around 2:05 p.m. on Tippecanoe Avenue, just south of Harry Sheppard Boulevard.
Authorities did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but arriving emergency personnel pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The coroner’s office later identified the deceased as Joseph Hampton, a 48-year-old Lancaster resident.
It is unclear if there are other vehicles involved. It is also unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the incident.
