Mark McLaughlin Dead after Bicycle Crash on Highway 230

 
ARROYO SECO, NM (July 10, 2020) – A man identified as Mark McLaughlin died following a bicycle accident on Highway 230 on Friday, June 26.
 
According to reports, McLaughlin stood just outside of his home on Highway 230 when a driver struck him.
 
Stephanie Theodore, McLaughlin’s wife, said she was home when she saw out the window many people on the street. She then walked down the driveway and saw her husband lying and getting chest compressions.
 
McLaughlin died in the collision.
 
Theodore and McLaughlin had been married for six years. The two had just moved to Taos and then rented a house on Highway 230 in November.
 
A small ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 1, at the crash site. Neighbors and family members joined Theodore to dedicate a ghost bike placed in honor of McLaughlin’s memory.
