14-Year-Old Hit, Seriously Injured by Car on North Avenue [Lompoc, CA]

Teen Bicyclist Airlifted after Being Hit by Vehicle on West North Avenue in Lompoc

 
LOMPOC, CA (July 8, 2020) – A 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle was hit by a car on North Avenue, Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the Lompoc Police Department, the incident happened at about 3:15 PM. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle struck the boy in the 200 block of West North Avenue.
 
A Calstar medical helicopter transported the injured teen to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Updates on the boy’s current condition remain undisclosed.
 
It is unknown whether or not the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
 
Lompoc police continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
