Pickup Truck Crashes into Cement Truck after Driver Runs Red Light on Pyramid Highway

 
SPARKS, NV (July 6, 2020) – A driver sustained injuries after his pickup truck crashed into a cement truck on Pyramid Highway, Monday morning.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:30 AM. A pickup truck reportedly ran a red light and slammed into a cement truck near Sparks Boulevard.
 
Emergency responders rendered aid to the pickup driver, who sustained minor injuries. However, the driver did not need hospitalization. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the cement truck driver suffered injuries in the collision.
 
Responding crews temporarily shut down affected areas to clean up the crash.
 
NHP continues to investigate the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
