Afternoon Crash on Highway 58 at Boron Ave Ends in Fatality

BORON, Calif. (July 7, 2020) – At least one person died in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Boron, CHP officials said.

The crash happened around 1:09 p.m. on Highway 58, just west of Boron Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 58 when it crashed for unknown reasons.

Firefighters responded to the scene and found at least one fatality as a result of the accident.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.

Due to several factors remain unclear, the crash is still under investigation.
