Major Injuries in Motorcycle Accident on Grant Road in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (July 7, 2020) – A rider sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Grant Road, Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the incident happened at about 3:00 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a motorcycle collided with a vehicle near Arcadia Avenue.

Emergency crews rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Updates on the rider’s current condition remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and cooperated with investigators.

Officers temporarily closed westbound traffic on Grant Road between Swan Road and Craycroft Road.

As of 2:00 PM Wednesday, no citations have been issued. However, Tucson police continue to investigate the cause of the incident. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
