Major Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 101 Freeway near Sepulveda Boulevard

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (July 6, 2020) – A woman sustained serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on 101 Freeway, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 8:00 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, multiple vehicles, including at least one truck, collided near Sepulveda Boulevard. The impact of the crash trapped a woman in the wreck.
 
Firefighters extricated the trapped woman and she was rushed to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. As per reports, the woman remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, authorities transported another woman to a hospital for a medical assessment.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
