Robert Tyson Injured, Arrested in DUI Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway [Red Bluff, CA]

Robert Tyson Airlifted and Arrested after DUI Accident in Red Bluff

 
RED BLUFF, CA (July 8, 2020) — A man identified 39-year-old Robert Eric Tyson of Eureka sustained injuries and was arrested after a DUI crash on Saturday, July 4.
 
Tyson rode his 2006 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle south on 5 Freeway, just north of Jellys Ferry Road, at about 6:35 a.m. Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Gurbhej Singh, 39, of Redding, drove a 2014 Freightliner around the same time near Tyson. While passing Singh, Tyson’s motorcycle drifted to the right and slammed with the left side of the semi.
 
The impact ejected Tyson from his bike and he came to rest in the center divider. Medics rushed him to Mercy Medical Center in Redding by helicopter for treatment of injuries.
 
Singh did not have any injuries.
 
During the investigation, CHP officers discovered around 12 pounds of methamphetamine and $4,500 cash belonging to Tyson. Officials arrested Tyson and released him to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
