Ian Worley Arrested after DUI Car Crash on Highway 101 in Leggett

 
LEGGETT, CA (July 6, 2020) – Authorities arrested 25-year-old Ian Worley of Clearlake following a DUI crash on Highway 101, early Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 12:38 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a 1982 Toyota pickup truck, driven by Worley, lost control. Then, the vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2019 Hyundai Accent.
 
Emergency responders transported the Hyundai driver, identified as a male resident of Mexico, to Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits with minor injuries.
 
Officers later arrested Worley on suspicion of driving under the influence and took him to Mendocino County Jail. It is unknown whether or not Worley sustained injuries in the crash.
 
Responding personnel temporarily closed the highway at Cummings Road for two hours to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
 
CHP continues to investigate the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
