Justyn Lopez-Florez, Giovvani Oliva Dead after Solo-Car Accident

 
SPARKS, NV (July 8, 2020) — A solo-car crash in Sparks killed a 16-year-old driver Giovvani Oliva of Reno and 17-year-old Justyn Lopez-Florez of Fernley.
 
The fatal incident took place near Sparks Boulevard and Baring Boulevard at around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5.
 
Officers found the two teens dead in the vehicle after they had collided into a tree. First responders pronounced both dead at the scene.
 
According to the police, a witness saw their vehicle speeding through the intersection of Sparks and Baring boulevards. Then as it continued south, it left Sparks Boulevard and slammed a tree. Police said they are still trying to find out if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
 
The Sparks Police Major Accident Investigation Team is still investigating the collision.
