Raymond McDaniel Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Seaview Drive [BAY POINT, CA]

Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at Seaview Drive and Shore Road

 
BAY POINT, CA (July 4, 2020) – A pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run crash Saturday evening in Bay Point has been identified.
 
The crash happened around 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of Seaview Drive and Shore Road.
 
Raymond McDaniel, 36, of Antioch was standing in the road with fireworks when a speeding Audi sedan struck him.
 
The impact threw McDaniel into a parked vehicle on Seaview Drive. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Audi sped away.
 
Police later found the suspect and arrested him in Pittsburg for suspected driving under the influence of alcohol and gross vehicular manslaughter.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
