Authorities Identifies Norma Montes as Pedestrian Killed in Huntington Park
HUNTINGTON PARK, CA (July 4, 2020) – A woman died following a pedestrian crash early Saturday morning in Huntington Park.
The fatal incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Grand Avenue.
Paramedics immediately responded and attempted life-saving aid to the pedestrian. Sadly, she did not survive and died at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as 63-year-old Norma Montes. She was homeless.
It is unknown if the involved driver remained or fled the scene after the crash.
CHP officials are still investigating the incident to determine the factors involved and liability. They urged witnesses to call Traffic Investigator D. Demetre at 714-536-5670.
