Fiery Rollover Crash on South Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City Kills 1 and Leaves Another in Critical Condition

 
CULVER CITY, CA (July 7, 2020) – A man was killed and another was critically injured following a fiery crash Tuesday morning at an intersection in the Culver City area.
 
The crash happened around 5:20 a.m. in the 6800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, near Howard Hughes Parkway.
 
One car burst into flames while the other had overturned following the impact. Debris was strewn across the roadway.
 
The man in the rolled over vehicle died at the scene. Another man in the burning car was able to get out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived.
 
Witnesses pulled the man to safety, according to police. Paramedics then rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Authorities did not release the identities of the involved.
 
Crews closed Sepulveda Boulevard at Centinela Avenue while they cleared the crash site.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
