27-Year-Old Woodrow Gibson Identified as Passenger Killed in Woodside DUI Crash
WOODSIDE, CA (July 3, 2020) – The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified 27-year-old Woodrow Gibson of Campbell as the passenger killed in a crash near the Thomas Fogarty Winery, Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:25 PM. A 27-year-old Campbell man lost control of a BMW sedan along the curve and veered off the right side of the roadway. Then, the vehicle hit a tree just north of Clouds Rest lookout point.
The impact of the crash caused the BMW to roll back into the southbound lane.
Emergency crews pronounced the passenger, Gibson, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW was airlifted to Stanford Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.
