Woman Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash at Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue [FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA]

Pedestrian Dies in Fountain Valley Hit-and-Run Crash at Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue

 
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (July 4, 2020) – A woman died in a hit-and-run crash Saturday evening in Fountain Valley, according to police.
 
The crash happened around 8:11 p.m. at the intersection of Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue.
 
Police responded to the crash site and found the unresponsive woman trapped under a white 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending notification of her family members.
 
During the investigation, officers discovered the victim had been hit by another car, which appeared to be a crossover vehicle, before she became stuck under the Mercedez-Benz, police said.
 
That first vehicle fled the scene. Police were working to identify the vehicle and driver.
 
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash with the driver who remained at the scene.
 
Police encouraged witnesses to call Fountain Valley police at 714-593-4481 and reference incident #20-21296.
