Driver Hurt in Cajon Pass Head-On Crash

 
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA (July 4, 2020) — A driver suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 66 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon.
 
The San Bernardino County firefighters responded to the incident at about 4:21 p.m. near Cajon Boulevard and Kenwood Avenue. They found a damaged white sedan and a Super-10 dump truck when they arrived at the scene.
 
According to a witness by the name of Matt Fuller of Apple Valley, the crash happened in front of him. He said a man in his mid-20s was driving the white sedan when he swerved and collided head-on with the dump truck.
 
The firefighters had to extricate the car driver trapped inside the vehicle after the crash. Paramedics subsequently transported him to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Fuller, however, said that the driver had serious injuries but is alive.
 
Meantime, there was no information available as to the condition of the dump truck driver.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
