Bryan Buhl Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on Caldwell Avenue [VISALIA, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Drunk Driver on Caldwell Avenue at West Street

 
VISALIA, CA (July 2, 2020) – A man was arrested following a fatal DUI crash late Thursday evening in Visalia.
 
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Caldwell Avenue at West Street.
 
Bryan Buhl, 42, was driving a car westbound on Caldwell Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light at West Street.
 
When Buhl attempted a U-turn, he turned into the path of a motorcycle rider heading east and struck him.
 
Paramedics arrived and found the rider with severe injuries. They rushed him to a nearby hospital, where the victim later died.
 
Buhl admitted to police that he had consumed alcohol. He was arrested and will be booked into the Tulare County Jail on suspicion of homicide, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and driving with a .20% blood alcohol causing injury.
