Two LAPD Officers Trapped after Car Accident on Polk Street [Sylmar, CA]

1 Hospitalized after Sylmar Crash

 
SYLMAR, CA (June 29, 2020) – At least one person was hospitalized following a two-car accident on Polk Street, early Monday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened at about 5:00 PM. For reasons still under investigation, an LAPD SUV collided with a pickup truck near Dronfield Avenue. The impact of the crash trapped two LAPD officers in the wreck.
 
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and extricated the trapped officers. After that, paramedics transported at least one person to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The total number of people injured in the collision remains unknown.
 
The Valley Traffic Division of LAPD is investigating the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
