Person Seriously Injured after Hit by Semi-Truck on Lake Mead Parkway

 
HENDERSON, NV (July 2, 2020) – A semi-truck hit and injured a pedestrian on Lake Mead Parkway, late Thursday morning.
 
According to the Henderson Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:10 AM. A pedestrian was in the center median when, for unknown reasons, they walked into the road. Then, a semi-truck hit the pedestrian near Boulder Highway.
 
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where the victim remains in serious condition. As per reports, the driver of the semi-truck remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed affected areas to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
 
Henderson police ruled out speed and impairment as factors in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
