Man Injured in Suspected DUI Crash in Novato

NOVATO, CA (July 3, 2020) – A 67-year-old Novato man was injured after a suspected DUI accident on Vintage Way at Rowland Boulevard on Tuesday, June 30.

Police Sgt. Reza Pourfarhani said the head-on accident happened at 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Vintage and Rowland.

According to Novato police, after exiting Highway 101, the driver of a Ford F-150 collided with another vehicle. Then it struck and wrapped around a traffic light pole in front of the Taco Bell. Witnesses reported seeing the driver of the truck drive recklessly on the highway before the incident, police said.

The man, driving the Ford truck suffered major injuries, police said. The driver behind the wheel of a Toyota SUV had minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

There had been no arrests made.
