Delfino Santillan Comonfort Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on Visalia Road near Road 176
FARMERSVILLE, CA (June 26, 2020) – A woman who died in a DUI crash Friday evening last week in Farmersville has been identified as 61-year-old Lydia Salinas.
The crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Visalia Road near Road 176.
CHP officials said a white Honda Civic, driven by 37-year-old Delfino Santillan Comonfort, was traveling the wrong way when it collided head-on into a black Toyota Camry, driven by Salinas.
The impact killed Salinas and critically injured her passenger.
Paramedics took the injured passenger to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for proper treatment.
Santillan Comonfort also suffered major injuries.
Police determined that Santillan Comonfort was driving under the influence at the time of the crash. They arrested him pending release from the hospital.
An investigation into this fatal crash in ongoing.
