SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 2, 2020) – Two pedestrians standing outside their parked cars were fatally struck by a box truck on the right shoulder of 215 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 30, at about 11:45 p.m.
 
A 2013 white Ford E350 box truck was southbound on the freeway when it veered to the right shoulder. The front of the Ford collided into the rear of a disabled 1997 Beige Toyota Camry and then hit the two pedestrians.
 
Both pedestrians, a 54-year-old Perris man and a 50-year-old Perris woman, died at the scene. Their names will be released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s office after notifying their family.
 
Meantime, there was no information immediately available regarding the condition of the 22-year-old Ontario man driving the truck.
