Vigil Attendee Hit During Car Crash on Gerber Road [Sacramento, CA]

Vigil Attendee Injured in Sacramento Car Crash on Gerber Road

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 1, 2020) — A vigil attendee in Sacramento County was hurt after a car crash on Gerber Road around 10:00 p.m. Monday, June 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a group held a vigil at Gerber and Elk Grove Florin roads to honor a friend who recently died in a crash there.
 
CHP said a driver slowed down to look at what was going on and was rear-ended by another vehicle. That car pushed into three people attending the vigil.
 
First responders rushed someone to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, CHP said. The person will survive, reports stated.
 
The identity of the injured victim was not available. There were no reports if alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident.
