Paul Gallette Found Dead in Car on Sierra Highway [SANTA CLARITA, CA]

Missing Person Discovered Deceased Inside Car on Sierra Highway near The Old Road

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 28, 2020) – A man was found dead inside a car Sunday afternoon in Santa Clarita, police said.
 
Around 3:22 p.m., CHP Officials received a report of a crashed vehicle along the southbound lanes of Sierra Highway, just north of The Old Road.
 
They said a motorist who pulled over for a brief respite found the car mostly hidden in heavy brush on the side of the road.
 
When they arrived, they found a deceased body inside a Honda Civic. Coroner’s official identified the victim as Paul Gallette, 56, of Sylmar.
 
Gallette is the registered owner of the car. He was listed on a missing persons report filed in the city of Los Angeles with the L.A. Police Department on May 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Gallette was believed to have been in the car for more than 30 days.
 
Gallette did not appear to be using safety equipment, and officers also found numerous empty alcoholic beverage containers in the vehicle.
 
The CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
