At Least 1 Killed in Tuesday’s Temecula Car Crash
TEMECULA, CA (July 1, 2020) — The authorities confirmed that a car crash on Pala Temecula Road on Tuesday afternoon turned fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident happened before 5:00 p.m. near the county line. Their investigation revealed that a white SUV crashed into a tree and then caught fire.
The number of occupants in the SUV is unknown at this time. However, the CHP said the driver and two passengers were taken to local hospitals with unspecified injuries. Their names were not disclosed
Additional details about the crash are limited. The cause and the events leading up to the incident remain under investigation.
Meantime, the officials closed the roadway for an extended period to give way to the initial investigation. Crews also worked to clear the debris and the damaged vehicle from the area. All lanes reopened at about 7:30 p.m.
