Erica Contreras Killed in Crash on Comanche Drive [ARVIN, CA]

23-Year-Old Woman Dies after Crashing Car into Parked Trailer on Comanche Drive near Highway 223

 
ARVIN, CA (June 28, 2020) – A woman died following a car accident early Sunday morning in Arvin, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 4:14 a.m. on Comanche Drive, just north of Highway 223.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2007 Nissan was traveling southbound on Comanche Drive approaching Highway 223. For unknown reasons, it lost control, went into the opposite northbound lanes and struck a parked flatbed trailer on the east shoulder.
 
As a result, the female driver died at the scene. Coroner’s officials identified her as Erica Contreras, 23, of Arvin.
 
It is still unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
