Chamise Hurd, Daniel Brace Jr., and Neil Moosaie Hurt in Red Bluff Car Crash

 
RED BLUFF, CA (July 01, 2020) — Three people suffered injuries in a car accident on the 5 Freeway near Red Bluff Tuesday morning.
 
At around 6:30 a.m., a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling behind a 2005 Mazda 3 in the southbound lanes near Riverside Avenue.
 
For inexplicable reasons, the Malibu rear-ended the Mazda. The impact caused both vehicles to spin into the center divider.
 
Subsequently, the Mazda hit with the guardrail, continued to spin southward, and then struck a concrete bridge wall. The crash cut off almost the front half of the vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, the Malibu went back across both traffic lanes, hit a concrete wall, and then stopped.
 
39-year-old Chamise Hurd of San Diego, who was riding in the front passenger seat of the Mazda, was taken to Mercy Medical Center with significant injuries. Driver Daniel Brace Jr. of San Diego, 35, had lacerations to his legs.
 
First responders transported Brace to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, together with 32-year-old Neil Moosaie of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, who was driving the Malibu. Moosaie suffered a laceration to the head.
 
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
