Rider Injured after Motorcycle Crash in Fry’s Electronics Store Parking Lot

SAN MARCOS, CA (June 30, 2020) – A rider was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident in a San Marcos parking lot shortly after 6:15 p.m. Sunday, June 28.

San Diego County Sheriff’s Sgt. Charles Morreale said the accident happened in the parking lot of Fry’s Electronics store. It is located on South Bent Avenue, between Grand Avenue and West San Marcos Boulevard.

A primary investigation showed that the 23-year-old motorcyclist moved northbound in the parking lot. Then the rider crashed with the driver’s side of a westbound two-door Acura sedan. The impact ejected the rider off his motorcycle, Morreale said.

First responders rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The occupants of the Acura were not injured in the crash.

Authorities do not suspect that alcohol has been a factor in the incident, Morreale said.
