One Fatally Injured after Solo-Car Crash on Pacific Avenue and Center Street

SANTA CRUZ, CA (June 30, 2020) – A man died following a solo-car accident on Pacific Avenue and Center Street just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27.

Officers with the Santa Cruz Police Department responded to the scene. First responders tried to administer life-saving measures to the vehicle’s passenger. However, they were unable to save him. He died at the scene.

The driver is still in critical condition and is receiving treatment for injuries at an undisclosed trauma center.

It was yet to be determined if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
