2 Injured in Fiery 2-Vehicle Crash in Summerlin

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 30, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a fiery crash on Charleston Boulevard and Desert Foothills Drive in Summerlin on Sunday.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said the incident involved a midsize SUV and a motorcycle.

An initial investigation showed that the two vehicles collided at about 10:30 a.m. Both were engulfed in flames after the impact. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within seconds.

The motorcycle rider suffered moderate injuries and received treatment at a hospital. An occupant of the SUV also possibly burned one foot but did not require immediate transport to a hospital.

The police closed the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Desert Foothills Drive while they investigated. The roadway reopened after several hours.
