Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on East Main Street [Farmington, NM]

Man Dead, Another Injured in Farmington Motorcycle Crash on East Main Street

 
FARMINGTON, NM (June 30, 2020) — A man died and a woman was injured in a motorcycle crash on East Main Street around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.
 
According to Farmington Police Department Spokesperson Nicole Brown, officers responded to the intersection of East Main Street and Sierra Vista Drive.
 
The male driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. His identity was not yet available.
 
Paramedics rushed the female driver of the vehicle to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where she is in critical condition, Brown said.
 
The motorcycle moved eastbound on East Main Street as the passenger car turned south onto Sierra Vista Drive. Then the crash happened.
 
The motorcycle hit the car’s front passenger door.
 
Farmington police shared on social media a map that the incident appeared to be in the area of the Outback Steakhouse at 4921 East Main Street.
 
Police reduced the eastbound traffic to one lane during the on-scene investigation.
 
The lanes reopened at about 4:32 p.m., Brown said.
