Child Injured after Fair Oaks DUI Crash on Dewey Drive and Winding Way

 
FAIR OAKS, CA (June 29, 2020) — A 6-year-old child was injured in following a suspected DUI crash on Dewey Drive in Fair Oaks on Sunday, June 28.
 
The California Highway Patrol said they received a call around 1:30 a.m. about an injury accident. A Mercedes sedan collided against a concrete wall on Dewey Drive and Winding Way.
 
Once they arrived, CHP discovered a 26-year-old female driver and the 6-year-old boy. Paramedics rushed both to separate hospitals for treatment. Their identities were not immediately available.
 
Officers said they arrested the woman but then released her to the hospital due to her injuries.
 
The investigation of the DUI crash is ongoing.
