3 Injured in DUI Accident on Perry Avenue and 16th Street [BREMERTON, WA]

Pregnant Woman, 2 Others Injured in Bremerton DUI Accident on Perry Avenue

 
BREMERTON, WA (June 26, 2020) – Three people suffered injuries in a rear-end, DUI accident on Perry Avenue and East 16th Street in Bremerton Wednesday afternoon at about 5:00 p.m.
 
The Bremerton police said a 52-year-old driver was driving a truck recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic lanes, when he rear-ended a Subaru occupied by a family.
 
The driver and a toddler in the Subaru were not injured. However, a pregnant woman in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Her baby appeared to be okay, the officers said.
 
Meantime, the truck driver and his passenger also had injuries. Paramedics took them to a local hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
 
The investigation of the crash is ongoing. The police said the truck driver will be booked into jail for investigation of DUI and vehicular assault upon release from the hospital.
