2 Drivers Critical After Las Vegas Crash near Rampart Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 26, 2020) – Two people were sent to a hospital following a two-car crash in Las Vegas Wednesday night just past 6:00 p.m.
 
According to the Las Vegas police, the crash involved a 2012 BMW M5 and a 2012 Mini Cooper.
 
The BMW was southbound on North Rampart Boulevard, approaching the intersection at Del Webb Boulevard. At the same time, the Mini Cooper was traveling on North Rampart Boulevard and was turning left to Del Webb Boulevard on a green light, and the two vehicles collided.
 
The impact caused debris to scatter on the roadway and also hit other vehicles near the scene.
 
The BMW driver and the Mini Cooper driver both suffered critical injuries. Emergency responders transported them to University Medical Center for treatment.
 
The police said there were no signs of impairment to both drivers.
 
Meanwhile, the officers closed the North Rampart Boulevard and Del Webb Boulevard for several hours. The roadway reopened after the initial investigation and emergency response.
 
Always stay alert and drive defensively to prevent accidents. When crossing a busy intersection, exercise due caution. Activate your turn signal or blinker before making any turns. Be aware of your blind spots and pull into the roadway slowly.
